Jon has been begging, yes BEGGING, me to make chicken and potato soup for about a week! So I finally stopped being lazy and decided to make it before the potatoes and chicken went bad! I got this delicious recipe from the wonderful Laura! (My Pampered Chef consultant and good friend) :) I think it has become one of Jon's favorite meals! I don't mind because it is easy to make, and doesn't require making much of a mess, or dirty dishes! Here it is....
All you need is
- chicken
- potatoes
- butter
- cream of mushroom (or cream of chicken)
- a Pampered Chef Rice Cooker Plus (or I supposed you could make it on a stove...I haven't done that)
- a microwave (YES, it is all made in the microwave!)
Thaw 2 or 3 strips of chicken |
get a few potatoes |
peel the potatoes |
Get out the Pampered Chef Rice Cooker Plus |
cut up some butter |
throw the butter in the rice cooker plus |
cut up the potatoes |
throw the potatoes in the cooker with the butter |
microwave for 10-12 minutes depending on your microwave |
slice up the chicken |
the potatoes are cooked! |
throw the chicken slices in cooker with the already cooked potatoes |
add a can or 2 of cream of mushroom, or cream of chicken PLUS a can or 2 of water, depending on how thick you want it |
stir it up |
microwave it for 10-15 minutes (depending on your microwave, maybe less) |
and Ta-da! You have your dinner! :) |
