fresh from the oven!

Tonight we decided to use the rest of the pepperoni we had and what better thing to make with it than pizza! :) Oh how I have missed being able to make some pizza in the oven! We were going for something quick though so we bought some pizza bread, and just threw it all together!

Gyu-Kaku

Jon decided to take me out for a little lunch date this weekend! I have been wanting to go to the new Gyu-Kaku restaurant that opened in Windward Mall pretty much since it opened! haha! So we finally got to go! It was really really good and we will definitely be going back! It's different from most places because they bring your food out raw! There is a little grill in the middle of each table and you can cook your own! It was a lot of fun and the food was delicious we were soooo stuffed when we left!

Garlic Chicken wings! (precooked!) YUM!

Garlic Noodles! YUM! (we had a lot of garlic!)

Lunch special!

Pot Roast!

Sunday night we babysat my best friends two kids, so we knew we weren't going to have much time to cook something. So, Sunday morning we threw a pot roast and some veggies in the slow cooker and let it cook all day! It was delicious and the kids loved it! :) All  you need is a packet of pot roast seasoning, a chunk roast, and some veggies! It is quick and easy and perfect for busy nights!

chopped up the pork roast

peeled the carrots

cut the carrots

threw them in the cooker

chucked up the potatoes

played with the babies

4th of July Jello Cake!

Once again I was feeling quite festive with tomorrow being the 4th of July! I still haven't gotten any decorations for the house, but there was definitely lots of cake decorating going on! This is a really easy, yummy, festive recipe and can pretty much be done for any occasion with minor adjustments! All you need is a white cake mix (I like the funfetti ones if you want to be extra festive, but any white cake mix will work!), apple sauce, a box of jello mix, and frosting! Here is it!
all you need....

substitute apple sauce for the vegetable oil

mix it all up!

add in the candy bits

mix it all up!

spread cake mix in pan....

bake and then let cool!

after cooling poke holes in the cake with a fork....

add the hot water to the jello mix...

mix it up

poke holes all over the top of the cake....

pour jello mix over cake

stick it in the refrigerator for a few minutes (I usually do 10-20)

Once cooled in refrigerator, flip cake onto a dish platter

get to ready to frost!

frost it nice and good!

use easy frost to decorate around the edges in desired color

add desired wording

add sprinkles and any other desired toppings....

slice and serve!

its like a festive explosion!

between the jello and candy bits it gets quite colorful!
It is perfect for any holiday or special occasion!
